About Danny

Dear Neighbor,

My name is Danny Dolan. I’m a husband, father, and homeowner here in Tyrone.

In case you didn’t know, I ran for Town Council last year in a special election. It was an incredibly rewarding experience: After a decade of researching and writing about local politics, I had the chance to learn first-hand about running a campaign and interacting with town government on a new level. I walked door-to-door in many neighborhoods, had wonderful conversations, made new friends and acquaintances, and gained a new appreciation for this town.

There’s another election for Town Council coming up this fall. After much consideration, I have decided to put my name on the ballot. I’m looking forward to continuing the experience of sharing conversations and ideas for the good of Tyrone. I hope that you will consider giving me your vote.

As a Christian and as an Eagle Scout, service to the community has always been important to me. I’ve lived in Fayette County since the sixth grade, and now I am raising my family here. I have two daughters at Crabapple Lane Elementary School, and a third in preschool. I have observed, interviewed, and written about local candidates and boards for years, entirely on my own time as a community service.

We have a truly remarkable town, with much to be proud of: We have churches and charities that do amazing work to lift up those in need. We have the only live performance theatre in the region so far that has found ways to innovate and uplift audiences safely in the midst of this pandemic. We have a unique variety of local shops and restaurants, beautiful parks, and kind neighbors. We have easy access to everything Atlanta and the rest of the south metro have to offer, and yet it’s easy to come home and relax. Tyrone is truly a wonderful place to live.

Since we have such a wonderful town, it’s not surprising that this area is growing in popularity with people looking to buy homes. As our town grows, we are bound to face a number of challenges. As a representative on town council, I would advocate for simple, common sense, people-driven solutions.

If you have any questions, or if you would just like to get to know me better, please feel free to reach out. My email address is [email protected], and my website is votedannydolan.com. I would love to connect, and again, I hope that you will honor me with your vote for Tyrone Town Council Post 3.

Thanks,
